SAYS WHO?

Art is who you are; you are what you create; but no one will even know who you are unless you express yourself! Bates' new online magazine, E-clectic, is here, ready and waiting to give voice to your thoughts and show the Bates community and the world your potential and your undiscovered talent.

What have you written that would enlighten your classmates or change the world? What new perspective of life have you drawn or caught on film? We at E-clectic want to see all that you've created, all you wish to share with the world, everything that makes you--you.

We are in a new era of literature where longevity is key. Unlike magazines that get stuffed away in some forgotten box, accidentally thrown out during spring cleaning or are too torn, worn and covered with coffee stains to be legible, E-clectic may last longer and is just a computer away And, unless your computer screen is covered with coffee stains, it'll always be easy to read!

Submissions accepted for publication by E-clectic will remain archived for the duration of the zine, and your works of art will remain accessible during that time. Their creative power will stay for everyone to experience and enjoy, without the vicissitudes of age and chance that are part and parcel of print on paper. So send us your drawings, your photographs, your fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essays, research in the humanities, works in translation and plays. We at E-clectic are ready to take your voice and help you shout with it! To take your vision and make it visible to others!
