Fireplace Lounge, New Commons, Open daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Peaks Island photographer, Arthur Fink, has a passion for dance. For the last seven summers he has spent several weeks photographing dancers at the Festival. These stunning and provocative images capture the dancers at work -- warming up, taking class and rehearsing. Included are images of the acclaimed artists-in-residence.

Nejla Yatkin / NY2Dance performs the world premiere of Oasis, an evening-length multimedia work based on the story of Layla and Majnoon, an allegorical tale regarded as the Middle Eastern forerunner of "Romeo and Juliet."

Doug Varone and Dancers returns to the Festival to celebrates its 25th anniversary with a brand new work, Mouth Above Water set to Cruel Sister, a haunting score by Julia Wolfe, and his signature tour de force, Rise, inspired by John Adams’ ecstatic score, Fearless Symmetries.

Together for more than 30 years, Bridgman | Packer Dance has developed a unique approach to integrating video into dance -- making it, in effect, their third dance partner.
