Since the early 1970s, the Bates College Concert Series has offered an attractive mix of music and performance styles.  This year is no exception, as the Series brings classical, international, and jazz performances to campus. All members of the Bates community and the general public are invited to attend.

Roswell Rudd and the Mongolian Buryat Band

Just days before performing in New York's famed Carnegie Hall, Roswell Rudd and the Mongolian Buryat Band bring a unique combination of American melodies and traditional Mongolian songs to Lewiston. Rudd, the 2003, 2004, and 2005 Jazz Journalists Association "Trombonist of the Year", plays alongside throat singing, horse-head fiddle, dulcimer, zither, and more.
