Ad Hoc Committees can be established by either the BCSG, as specified in Article VI, Section 5 of the Bylaws of the BCSG, or by the Faculty Governance, in accordance with the Rules and Proceedures of the Faculty, available in the Faculty Handbook. Ad Hoc Committees are created for a specific goal or purpose for a specified period of time, and in the case of Student Ad Hoc, they exist only for one calendar year, unless otherwise specified.
Student positions are appointed through the Student Committee on Committees.

2 Students; Assistant Dean of Students/Coordinator of Student Activities; 1 representative from Physical Plant
This committee, though currently inactive, was formed several years ago to deal with problems of excessive and inappropriate postering and chalking. Around approximately 1998, there was a large chalking problem which was not handled properly due to a series of miscommunications, precipitating a student protest. This Student/Faculty committee was formed to prevent a recurrence. Though it fortunately hasn't needed to meet for several years, it may be reactivated if chalking or postering policies need to be reconsidered to address out of control activity.
