Instructions

To Apply:

  1. You may begin the application process online by clicking the link above and completing and submitting the top section of the application form. BUT you must then download the form to finish filling it out and mail along with the required fee and resume. If you do not wish to submit online you may elect to download a print version of the application package to complete by hand.

  2. Attach a one page resume of your 2010-2012 dance training (see link above)

  3. Attach the $95 nonrefundable registration fee

  4. Send completed application, resume and registration fee to:

  5. To be considered you must also have a current dance instructor submit the Teacher Recommendation Form (see link above). They may submit this form via email (dancefest@bates.edu) or fax (207-786-8332). Note that your application will not be reviewed until we receive this form.

Students are strongly encouraged to send their application package in early to insure placement. Enrollment is limited and the program fills quickly. Qualified students are accepted on a rolling basis. All application materials including the Teacher Recommendation must be properly completed and received in order to be consider. When full enrollment is reached students will be notified and added to our waiting list. Faxed application forms are accepted only from international students (207-786-8332).

Once you have submitted of your properly competed application package it will take us up to 3 weeks for review and processing. We process applications in the order they are received. We will send you an email notification of your enrollment status as soon as we have reviewed your package.

After receiving your notification, if you have been accepted, you must then follow the instructions in the email to complete your registration process.

Room & Meals

  • Meals & single room  $1300
  • Meals & double room $1200

Application Fee

Nonrefundable, applied to balance $95

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All fees paid (less application fee) will be fully refunded only if written notice of cancellation is received on or before June 15. YDW tuition is nonrefundable after this date for any reason including illness or injury. Room and board fees may be refunded (less $30 administrative fee) on or before June 22.
