GEOLOGY S31 : LIMNOLOGY AND PALEOLIMNOLOGY OF MAINE LAKES
This unit studies the present and past environmental conditions of lake basins in Maine. Studies during short term include monitoring thermal and chemical profiles of the water column in a local lake; long-term histiory is evaluated through studies of the sedimentary record recovered by sediment coring or by acoustic seismic survey.
