Responsibilities Of The Sponsor

1. To meet initially, and then periodically, with the intern to offer assignments and design schedules, and to discuss the context of the work. Assignments can be independent projects, activities involving other persons, close working relationships with the sponsor. What is important is to make clear the expectations for the intern's work.

2. To provide some opportunities for the intern to look in on staff meetings, if appropriate, so as to learn about the wider activities of the organization.

3. To have an "exit interview" with the intern to discuss what has been accomplished, and to submit the evaluation of the intern, as provided by the Program in Environmental Studies.
