Application For An Internship

All Environmental Studies majors must satisfactorily complete an internship related to the natural environment. These internships must be sponsored by an organization which agrees to evaluate the student at the conclusion of the service. The sponsoring organization must provide an internship that relates to the natural environment and may include schools, legislatures, private companies, outdoor recreational groups, environmental advocacy groups, law firms, or government agencies. To apply, the student must complete this application form and attach it to a written statement from the sponsoring organization indicating its willingness to establish clear expectations for the student and to submit a final evaluation form. Deadline for this application: A minimum of three weeks prior to the commencement of the internship. This provides time for the Environmental Studies Committee to review the internship and either approve or disapprove it before the student begins the internship. Any internship commenced prior to its approval will be at the risk of the student.
