There are many ways Bates students can obtain work experience and test various career options through programs such as:
Career Discovery Internships: Short internships between winter semester and short term, sponsored by Bates Alumni in many different fields.
Ladd Internships: Paid summer internships for juniors
with major corporations.
Summer jobs: A summer job is an excellent opportunity
to test a particular field and find out whether you would be interested
in pursuing a career in it after graduation.
The Office of Career Services has up-to-date information on the various opportunities available.
Please
note that the Economics Department does not grant academic credit
for summer jobs or internships.
