The field of economics depends heavily on computers to perform calculations for modern statistical methods and they are used extensively in the statistics and econometrics courses. Later courses build upon and develop these techniques. Economics students make heavy use of the computer classrooms in Pettengill Hall. Academic Computing Services in Pettigrew publishes several handouts and guides for using computers.
