Future Tense
1st & 2nd
Conjugation
- The future
tense is indicated by the addition of "bi" after the stem and
before the endings in the 1st and 2nd Conjugations.
- E.g.
laudä-bi-t: 3rd singular
- The future tense
is translated with "shall" in the 1st person sing & plur and
"will" in the 2nd and 3rd person sing and plur. [For emphasis,
do will for the 1st person and shall for the 2nd &
3rd].This distinction isn't observed in daily English usage
anymore - but old folks like professors like it when they hear
it.
