TRANSLATION

Just as English has several present tenses (simple present, present progressive, present emphatic) represented by the Latin present tense - so too, there a several English past tenses represented by the Latin perfect:
English simple past: I praised, I was, I led, I warned
Latin perfect: laudävï, fuï, düxï, monuï

English perfect: I have praised, I have been, I have led, I have warned:

Latin perfect: laudävï, fuï, düxï, monuï
