TO EARN A PASSING GRADE, you must meet
ALL of the following criteria:
Earn a minimum 60% average of the grades listed on this page
Attend a minimum of 60% of the laboratory sessions
Complete a minimum of 60% of the assignments in each of the categories listed below
Earn a minimum of 60% on the final exam
FURTHER DETAILS ON THE ITEMS ABOVE, AND MORE:
Lecture exams: Each of the two in-class exams will be graded on the basis of 100,
and each counts for 25% of your final grade.
These exams must be taken in class on the day indicated, except for students with disabilities as specified below.
If you have a valid reason for missing an exam,
you will be given a make-up exam approximately ten weeks into the semester.

Final exam, worth 30% of your final grade.
Please contact me if you have a valid reason for missing some or all of this exam.
Lab participation (attendance): 5 points awarded per lab (4 if you are late).
You may miss one lab without penalty; the sum of the remaining labs will be adjusted to a percentage score.
It is your responsibility to notify me if you
miss a lab and make it up by attending another lab section.
