FOURTH TERM ANATOMY PROJECT:
As part of your fourth term grade, every student will select one organ(*) of
the body and complete a project on it, as follows:
- You must describe both the structure and the function(s)
of the selected organ, and how they relate to one another.
- If the organ has multiple parts, or interesting structures at different
size levels, you should describe all of them.
- Your project may consist of any one of the following:
- A poster, suitable for posting on the wall, with bibliographic references, or
- A PowerPoint presentation, suitable for delivery to the class,
with bibliographic references on the final slide, or
- A paper of 3 or more pages, with bibliographic references.
- In each case, at least 3 bibliographic references
are required (more if you wish, no upper limit).
- All projects should be illustrated, preferably in color.
- A project can be either an individual project or a joint project.
- A maximum of two students may collaborate on a joint project.
- If a joint project includes a PowerPoint presentation, both students
must be part of the presentation.
- (*)Because the brain is such a complex organ,
students interested in the brain should choose
ONE of the following parts:
- Cerebral cortex
- Corpus callosum
- Basal nuclei
- Pineal body
- Hippocampus
- Thalamus
- Hypothalamus
- Midbrain
- Cerebellum
- Medulla
- Projects will be due on Tuesday, April 27, right after break.
In the case of a PowerPoint presentation,
the presentation must be emailed to me
by 6:00 p.m. on that day, for possible presentation to the class later in the week.
