Bates College: Career-Training Opportunities

The Office of Career Services offers a full range of career guidance to students, from job listing and résumé assistance to interview training and career screening. The Office offers two special programs for students, often involving Bates alumnae/i or parents as employment supervisors.

During a break in the winter semester, students can undertake an intensive, week-long residency exploring a particular career through the Career Discovery Internship Program.

The Ladd Internship Program provides funding for full-time summer internships for students in financial businesses, science, social-service agencies, and government. Eighteen undergraduates participated in the program in 1998.
