This is an invaluable, authoritative site for doing research in criminal justice produced by the National Criminal Justice Reference Service. Organized into ten major topical areas, each category contains hyperlinks to other sites or full text documents or both.

Bureau of Justice Statistics
This is the best place for U.S. criminal justice statistics on the web.

National Archive of Criminal Justice Data
The National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD) is a branch of the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan. NACJD acquires, archives, processes, and provides access to online criminal justice data collections for research and instruction. The NACJD website provides downloadable access to over 550 criminal justice data collections free of charge.

National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics
This is an organization of states interested in improving the criminal justice system through better information management and the effective application of information and identification technology. Besides profiles of each of the states' criminal justice information system structure, there are links to their current programs and projects.

Cecil Greek's Criminal Justice Resources on the Web

This site gives current and background information on Interpol which is an international organisation which coordinates police international cooperation between its members.
