Insurance Maps The Sanborn Map Company has been the major American
publisher of fire insurance maps and atlases for over 100 years. These
plans of towns and cities represent the most detailed record of the growth
of urban America. They depict the commercial, industrial, and residential
sections of cities and were designed to assist fire insurance agents in
determining the degree of hazard associated with a particular
property.
