The classification for sound recordings in the George and Helen Ladd Library at Bates College, devised by Joseph Derbyshire, College Librarian Emeritus. COM precedes call numbers for compact discs; CAS precedes call numbers for cassettes. For all call numbers, use date of the recording as the last element of the classification number.
