Which
databases have Article Linker ?
Many of our databases will have the links although some will not, but all
databases can still be searched.
What should I do if there is no online full-text link is
available from the Article Linker menu?
Check the Library Catalog to determine whether or not a print or
microform copy may be available at Ladd. If the library does
not own the material you need, you may request it through Interlibrary
loan.
What if I already have a citation and want to find
the full text?
The traditional method for finding full text is to search the journal
title in
the Bates College Catalog, which will display electronic and print
holdings. You can also check the "Full-text Journals" list found
via the Index/Database webpage, which contains titles
found in LexisNexis as well as Open Access titles, in addition to our
catalog titles. Also check this list for titles recently added to the
library collection.
Who can use Article Linker?
Bates faculty, students and staff. Others may use
Article Linker when
searching from a computer within the library.
Can I use Article Linker off campus?
Yes, if you're a Bates community member and configure your browser
to our
proxy server.
Comments or questions?
You may use the "Ask a librarian for assistance" option from
the Article Linker menu or send comments and questions directly to
reference@bates.edu.
