To Recall Material
All patrons are allowed a two week minimum to use library material
before an item can be recalled, except when an item is needed for Library
Reserve. Material needed for reserve may be recalled immediately.
Material that has been checked out for more than two weeks, the
current due date is reduced to 4 days from the date of the recall.
Email and paper notices are sent to patrons informing them of the new due
date. Please respect the needs of other library patrons and return
recalled items by their new due dates.
Library privileges of patrons who do not return recalled items will be
blocked, and all further borrowing and renewing of library material
will be denied until the items are returned. The fines increase to $2.25
per day for overdue recalled items.
To place a recall, please use the online
Recall Request Form. You will be
notified when the recalled material has been returned.
To Place a Hold on Material
A hold may be placed at Circulation on items checked out to another
patron. The item, once returned, will be held for one week at the
Circulation Desk. A notice is sent to the patron when a held item has
been returned. Placing a hold does not affect the original due date, it
simply ensures that the item may not be renewed by the original borrower.
To place a hold, please use the online
Recall Request Form. You will need to select the "copy without
recalled" option. You will be
notified when the material has been returned.
