Holds and Recalls
- Hold - Choose; "Notify me when a copy is returned without being recalled from current user". The hold does not change the due date, it simply ensures that the item may not be renewed by the original borrower.
- Recall - Choose; "Recall item from current user and notify me when it is returned." The recall changes the due date for the original borrower.
- The original borrower is granted a minimum two week loan.
- The original borrower is required to return the recalled item within 4 days if the item has been in possession for more than the two week minimum.
- Material needed for course reserve may be recalled and due immediately.
- When a recall is placed a notice is sent informing the patron of the new due date. Please respect the needs of other library users and return recalled items by the new due date.
