Overdue notices are sent to patrons as a courtesy. The library does not assume responsibility for fines resulting from un-received or un-read mail or email.
Patrons are encouraged to track the due dates using the My Library option from the top navbar on every web page.
Patrons are liable for the price of replacing library material that is lost, damaged or stolen. The library also charges a processing and a non-refundable billing fee plus any non-refundable overdue fines accured. Fine amounts are not calculated until after material is returned.
Library replacement charges and fines are placed on student Garnet Gateway accounts weekly. For materials that have been billed for replacement, and are subsequently returned to the library, the amount of the replacement and processing fee will be credited to the student's account. The student is held responsible for the overdue fine and the non-refundable billing fee.
Students receive notice of fines via email. A print copy of the fine notice may be taken the Registrar and Student Financial Office in Libbey Forum, payment may be made there. The student may also wait for the fine to appear on the next bill from the college.
Affiliates, alumni, courtesy card holders, and other patrons are also responsible for overdue fines and the non-refundable billing fee when billed items are returned. These patrons must pay fines and replacement charges at the library. Please pay by check or exact amount. Change is not available at Ladd Library.
