Bates has sponsored Fall Semester Abroad programs each year since 1986. Although the location varies annually, programs have been held in Canada, Croatia, France, Spain, Germany, Japan, China, Chile, and Ecuador. Bates students are also encouraged to take advantage of approved Junior Year Abroad and Junior Semester Abroad programs hosted by other institutions.
