ed.) shows 894 arts and sciences doctorates earned by Bates graduates,
1920-95.
Source: Extract of 14,905 mailable alumni from adminisrative database
developed by Development Office, 5/29/97. Based upon self-reported data
or information collected by the Development Office. The record of a
degree does not guarantee completion of that degree. Data may reflect
some degrees still in progress. An institution will be double counted if
more than one doctoral degree was recorded for the same alumnus. Because
of the size of the file, only the first two graduate degrees were
examined.
