Game
Days: Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings, Sunday afternoons.
IM Coordinator:
Registration - begins Jan. 11
Schedule.
Games begin January 17.
All NCAA rules are in effect except where mandated below.
Rules:
1. Absolutely no checking allowed!
2. No slapshots.
Goals will be placed face down, open end toward center ice.
3. No
goalies will be used.
4. Games are two 20 minute running periods
with 5 minutes between halves. Only 45 minutes are allowed for each game with
5 minutes between games. The game must start with 5 players in required uniform
within 5 minutes of scheduled game or it is a FORFEIT.
5. Captains
are responsible for notifying all team members of schedule.
6. Good
Sportsmanship should be observed at all times. Captains/teams are expected to
solve disputes in a fair manner. OFFICIALS have the authority to eject anyone
from the game if necessary. An ejected player will not be able to play in the
next team's game. A player who has been ejected twice will be ejected from playing
the rest of the season.
7. Any problems with players or procedures
should be reported to IM Student Coordinator.
8. No Bates club
team members are allowed to play!
9. Game Scores are to be reported
to the IM Student Coordinator.
10. All players MUST wear a hockey
helmet. League A players MUST wear gloves and shinpads.
11. NO
Tolerance! Any team found with alcohol in the arena or having intoxicated
players on the ice will be removed from the league immediately!
12. If
a team forfeits 2 games during the season, they will be dropped from the league.
Members from that team may join another team prior to playoffs.
Additional
Information:
1. Call your opponent and the IM Student Coordinator
if you must cancel your game. Games will NOT be made up!
2. Games are generally
played on the following days: Sundays afternoons; Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
late evenings.

NOTE: If a player is not wearing the above protective equipment, he/she
will be immediately ejected from the game and may not return unless properly outfitted.
If a second violation occurs on the same team, that TEAM will forfeit the game
and could face further penalties and suspensions.
