Secondary Concentration 

in Theater
Students interested in a Secondary Concentration should get the appropriate forms form the Registrar and the Department Chair for Theater
A Secondary Concentration in Theater consists of six courses:

    1. Theater 101: Introduction to Drama

    2. Two of the following:
    Theater 130: Introduction to Design; Theater 132: Stagecraft; Theater 227: Seventies and Eighties Avant-garde Theater and Performance Art; Theater 231: Scene Design; Theater 232: Lighting Design; Theater 251: Dance Composition; Theater 262: Beginning Acting; Theater 262: Acting for the Classical Repertory; Theater 263: Voice and Speech; Theater 363: Playing Comedy; Theater 364: Advanced Voice and Speech; Theater 370: Directing

    3. Two of the following: Theater 200: The Classical Stage; Theater 210: The Revolutionary Stage; Theater 220: The Modern Stage; Theater 225: The Grain of the Black Image; Theater 226: Minority Images in Hollywood Film; Theater 241: Spanish Theater of the Golden Age; Theater 300: Theories of the Stage

    4. One of the following: Theater s22: Contemporary Performance Poetry; Theater s26: Theater Production Workshop; Theater s27: Film and Theater; Theater s28: The Living Stage; Theater s10: Bates Theater Abroad and s11: Theater in London

    5. Students must also earn two and one half production credits by the end of the senior year.
