Guideline for Production 

Proposals

 

  1. Production Goals
    A statement of the intentions of the director and/or designers. This should explain the choice of play.

  2. Production Requirement
    1. Type (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6) of production requested
    2. Number of actors needed.
    3. Space requested and why
    4. What scenic problems does the script present? How will these problems be solved?
    5. What are the lighting, sound, and special effects elements that are required?
    6. What unusual or period costume, makeup, and hair problems are presented by the script? How will they be solved?

  3. Staffing

    • Time needed for construction:
    • Date and Time of Strike:
    • On a separate page, include a schedule of production meetings and a rehearsal schedule.

  5. Proposal Deadlines
    • For Fall term productions, proposals must be submitted by the end of the preceding Winter term's reeading week.
    • For Winter term productions, proposals must be submitted by the last day of late registration for Winter term
    • For Short term productions, proposals must be submitted by the beginning of Short term pre registration
