Word searches are a great way to get started on a project. The English word search in Perseus will tell you all the Greek words in the unabridged Liddel-Scott Lexicon (9th ed.) and in the Middle Liddell that have a given word (which you specify) in their English definitions. Would you have expected to find 55 words in Greek with the word wealth in their definitions? You can conduct a word search by going to the Perseus WWW Home Page, selecting "Texts" and then English-Greek Word Search, or try this example right here by selecting Greek words whose definitions contain "wealth"

An assigned project in the Ancient Greek Religion course at Bates is to do a word search for the word, altar, and to select one type of altar for a group research project. You can begin that project in the same way, by selecting here a search for Greek words whose definitions contain "altar"
