BATES WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS ST. JOSEPH'S, 7-0
Dockery sets single-game scoring record

LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College senior forward Kate Dockery (New York, N.Y.) had four goals and an assist for a school record nine points as the Bobcats trounced the St. Joseph's College Monks, 7-0, in a nonconference matchup.

Bates (8-1), which extended its school record to six consecutive shutouts with the win, got two early goals from Dockery in the first 10 minutes of action. With the score 2-0 at halftime, Dockery picked up her lone assiston the day, feeding the ball to sophomore forward Becky Castle (Stonington, Conn.) in the 51st minute. Dockery scored her third and fourth goals 10:14 apart in in the 56th and 66th minutes.

Dockery's nine points broke the record set by Laury Schwatzberg (Class of 1984) in 1982 against Thomas and tied by Kate O'Malley (Class of 2000) against St. Joe's in 1996. Her four goals tied Schwartzberg's single-game record.

St. Joseph's goalkeeper Marissa Regan (Standish, Maine) made 23 saves in the losing effort.
