Bates 12, Plymouth State 10

(Taken from a Plymouth State College press release) Sophomore Blaine Hudson (Madison, Conn.) scored her second goal of the game with 10 minutes remaining to break a 10-10 deadlock and send the Bobcats (3-5) to a 12-10 women's lacrosse victory over Plymouth State College (6-4) in New Hampshire.

The Bobcats led 8-6 at the half and were up 10-7 when the Panthers rallied to tie the score, but Hudson's goal with 10 minutes left and tough defense from juniors Wendy Zimmerman (Denver, Colo.) and Molly McMahon held PSC scoreless thereafter.

Bates got goals from eight different players to secure the victory. Hudson and first-years Erin Flynn (Newton, N.J.), Abbie Lusardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Jennifer Sall (Gladwyne, Pa.) notched two goals apiece, while sophomores Nina Pickering (Kennebunkport, Maine) and Kate Hobrook (Columbia, Md.) and first-years Jess Roll (Arlington, Mass.) and Sarah McGrath (Middlebury, Vt.) each had one. Goalies Cil Bloomfield (Exeter, N.H.) and Kim Holzer (Adams, Mass.) combined to make five saves.
