WILLIAMS WOMEN'S LAX DEFEATS BATES, 13-3

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College women's lacrosse team (1-2) dropped its home opener today, 13-3, at the hands of the Williams College Ephs (2-1).

Williams was paced by junior Cara Shortsleeve (Belmont, Mass.), who notched three goals and an assists, and junior Caitlin Ritchie (Newton, Mass.), who had three goals. Senior Julie Lundman (Worthington, Ohio) and first-year Liz Coulson (Devon, Pa.) each tallied in the first half for Bates, while sophomore Abbie Lusardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) scored in the second stanza.
