BATES WOMEN TOP BABSON, 68-60, EXTEND WIN STREAK TO 11

The Bates College women's basketball team extended its current winning streak to 11 games, setting a new school record, with a 68-60 win over Babson College.

The Bobcats led by just two at the half, 28-26, but opened the second stanza with a 12-2 run, which the Beavers were never able to overcome. Junior Emily King (Lebanon, N.H.) scored 11 of her game-high 16 points in the second half. King recorded hre first double-double of the season, pulling down a season-high 13 rebounds. Senior co-captain Colleen McCrave (Walpole, Mass.) had a season-high 15 points to go along with six steals, six rebounds and four assists, while sophomore Katy Dutille (Lebanon, N.H.) had 14 points, including eight of nine from the line, and eight rebounds. The game was the first this season in which Bates' margin of victory was under double-figures.
