BANGOR, Maine— Behind the play of tournament MVP Carla Flaherty (Gorham, Maine), the Bates College Bobcats (3-1) defeated the host Husson College Braves, 80-55, to win the Paul Bunyan Classic for the second year in a row.

She hit five-of-10 from the floor and six-of-seven from the free throw line as the Bobcats opened a 43-26 halftime lead. Sophomore Lauren Dubois (Beverly, Mass.), who scored 25 points in the opener before getting just two points tonight, was also named the All-Tournament team.
