BATES WOMEN OUTLAST COLBY, 84-80, IN TWO OVERTIMES

WATERVILLE, Maine — The Bates and Colby women's basketball teams extended past regulation for the second time this season and the fourth time in the last nine meetings, but the outcame remained the same, as the Bobcats captured an 84-80 decision in double overtime.

In a game that saw 15 lead changes, the Bobcats overcame a nine-point halftime deficit, 42-33. Bates (12-7, 3-2 NESCAC) overcame a 10-point deficit with five minutes to go to force a 67-67 tie and the extra time. the Bobcats used a 25-11 advantage from the free throw line in the second half and overtime to pull away and hand Colby (15-5, 5-1 NESCAC) its first NESCAC loss.

Rookie Lauren Dubois (Beverly, Mass.) recorded her first career double-double, scoring 20 points to lead all players and 11 rebounds. Junior guard Kate Dockery (New York, N.Y.) added 19 points, while senior Kate McLaughlin (Laconia, N.H.) contributed 13. Senior Katy Dutille (Lebanon, N.H.) pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds, 13 coming in the second half.

Colby was led by Kim Condon and Bianca Belcher (Lewiston, Maine) with 12 points each, and Jen Hallee with 11.
