Bates (4-1) 15 15 15 UMF (2-1) 1 6 7The Bates College volleyball team (4-1) won their first home match of the season in easy fashion, defeating the University of Maine-Farmington, 15-1, 15-6, 15-7.
Sophomore outside hitter Kristina Godek (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the team with six kills, while junior co-captain Carly Dell'Ova (Derry, N.H.) had three aces. Sophomore setter Kate Hagstrom (Portola, Calif.) had 16 assists.
The victory was career win number 395 for coach Marsha Graef.
