DOCKERY NAMED NESCAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LEWISTON, Maine Bates College senior forward Kate Dockery
of New York, N.Y., has been named New England Small College Athletic
Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 24
Dockery
scored five goals and added an assist in a 3-0 week for Bates. She registered
a goal and an assist in a 3-0 Bates victory over Southern Maine on Sept. 18
and then had a spectacular weekend against two NESCAC foes on Sept. 22 and 23.
Dockery had two goals in the Bobcats 4-0 win over Trinity on Saturday, and then
netted two more in the Bobcats 3-0 victory over defending conference champion
Middlebury on Sunday. The unblemished week gave Bates a 5-1 record for the season.
Dockery now has nine goals and two assists on the season, and is the second-leading
scorer in the NESCAC.
Dockery is the daughter of William and Dorothy Dockery, New York, New York.
She is a 1998 graduate of Nightingale Bamford School.
