BOBCATS TAKE SEVENTH AT NEW ENGLANDS
Easter earns third trip to NCAAs

WESTFIELD, Mass. — Bates College junior Justin Easter of Jay, Maine, finished third overall at the New England Division III qualifying meet, earning first-team All-New England status and qualifying for his third NCAA Division III cross country championship and seventh trip to the NCAAs overall in his time at Bates.

As a team, the Bobcats finished seventh out of 35 teams at the New England qualifier. Easter led the team with a time of 25:06, just 13 seconds out of the top spot. The Bobcats' next five runners were all first-years, led by Michael Downing of Gorham, Maine, in 38th place and Robert Gomez of Waldoboro, Maine in 55th.
