Men's Soccer

The Bates College men's soccer team recently spent 11 days in Great Britain. They played four matches against English and Scottish teams, attended three professional matches and toured two other football stadiums, as well as many other historic sites around the two countries.

The Bobcats stayed in Southport on the northwest coast of England for four days. Junior Andy Apstein practices on a field by an amusement park.

Apstein goes to goal against a team from Southport. The teams were tied 0-0 at the half. Southport went on to win, 3-0.

Senior Stephen Coco touches the "This is Anfield" sign at the home of the Liverpool Football Club. Players touch this sign for luck before coming through the tunnell onto the field.   Click here for more.
