COLBY SPOILS TIMOLL'S FINAL HOME GAME, 97-58

LEWISTON - The Bobcats ran into a hot-shooting Colby team at home tonight, dropping a 97-58 decision in the final home game for senior Garth Timoll (Owings Mills, Md.).

Bates (10-13) was led by sophomore Rommel Padonou (Libreville, Gabon), who recorded game-highs with 17 points and 13 rebounds. First-year center Alex Wilson (Duxbury, Mass.) had 16 points for the Bobcats.

With Colby leading 21-13 with 7:02 left in the first half, the White Mules (14-9) hit four consecutive trifectas, as the lead ballooned the lead to in less than three minutes. Colby ended the half shooting 52 percent in the first half (19-36), including seven of 12 from downtown. The White Mules shot even better in the second, hitting 18 of 28 shots for 64.3 percent.
