BALANCED ATTACK LEADS BATES PAST
EASTERN NAZARENE, 88-67

QUINCY, Mass. Ñ The Bates College men's basketball team opened the second semester with a fine performance on the road, defeating the host Eastern Nazarene College Crusaders, 88-67.

The Bobcats (7-3) never trailed in the game, placing five players in double figures. Senior guard Ed Walker (Roxbury, Mass.) led Bates with 20 points on seven-of-14 shooting from the floor and four-of-four from the free throw line. Junior forward C.J. Neely (No. Easton, Mass.) had 19 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Senior forward Alex Wilson (Duxbury, Mass.) chipped in 14 points, while senior guard Billy Hart (Haverhill, Mass.) and junior guard Angelo Salvaggio (Portland, Maine) each added 12 points, season-bests for both.

The Bobcats outscored ENC 19-9 in points off turnovers and 24-8 from the free throw line. Eastern Nazarene (4-7) was led by Rosaun Kindell's game-high 24 points and Edson Cardoso's 22, accounting for 46 of the Crusaders' 67 points.
