WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Bates Bobcats finished their second tournament of the 2001 season with a third place finish at the Sid Farr Invitational at Colby College.

Leading the way for the Bobcats was sophomore Andy Kadin (Short Hills, N.J.), who finished fourth with a score of 75 only 4 strokes behind the overall lead. First-year Kevin Wells (Waccabuc, N.Y.) was the second leading finisher for Bates shooting a round of 80. Junior team captain Doug Aho (Congers, N.Y.) finished third for the Bobcats with a score of 81.

The team scoring was conducted with the Stableford scoring system, which give one point for a par, two for a birdie and three for an eagle. Bogies score no points, while double bogies and worse lose a point.
