CBB Championships, hosted by Colby
at Waterville, Maine

LEWISTON, Maine -- Continuing their impressive inaugural bvarsity campaign, the Bates rowing team captured the CBB President's trophy behind individual victories by the women's varsity eights, women's varsity fours and the men's novice eights. "It is an honor to do well against strong programs like Bowdoin and Colby," said first-year head coach Richard Ruggieri

The Bobcats' next meet is the New England championships, May 6 in Worcester, Mass. Bates will send seven boats to the race, the largest contingent in the program's history. " With a strong emphasis on technique, race training and overall confidence Bates Crew will look for continued growth," Ruggieri said.
