After being held to three hits the day before by St. Joseph's, the Bates College baseball team (4-8) rebounded with 18 hits on the road at Colby Sawyer College (8-13) and an 8-6 victory. With the game tied 5-5 in the top of the ninth, senior third baseman Dan Chisholm (Westfield, Mass.) had an RBI double to give the Bobcats a one-run lead, which junior DH Shirl Penney (Eastport, Maine) extended with a two-run single which proved to be the difference in the game.
