MIDDLEBURY'S HUSBAND STRIKES OUT 15 BOBCATS IN 6-4 BATES LOSS

(Taken from a Middlebury College press release) MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Middlebury College senior hurler A.J. Husband struck out a school-record 15 batters as the Panthers topped the Bates College Bobcats, 6-4, here today.

Husband allowed seven hits over nine innings of work to improve his record to 6-1 on the season. Ethan Mark added the Panthers' offense with a two-run home run and a triple in his 3-3 day at the plate. For the Bobcats, junior CF Jason Coulie (Manchester, N.H.) hit a three-run home run of his own for the Bobcats in the seventh. It was Coulie's fourth round tripper of the season and 13th of his career, moving him into a tie for fifth place on Bates' all-time career list with Gary Page (Class of 1979).
