BOBCATS FALL TO COLBY-SAWYER, 11-6

NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Bates College baseball team (6-20), playing its fifth game in three days, dropped an 11-6 decision at Colby-Sawyer College (20-18), as the Chargers collected their second-straight 20-win season.

The Bobcats were led by senior C Frost Hubbard (E. Walpole, Mass.), who rapped two doubles with a pair of RBI. Junior RF Ben Bines (Lexington, Mass.) also had a two-run double, his school-record 13th of the season. Rookie Mark Powers (Carlisle, Mass.) made his first appearance of the season, hurling two shutout innings behind senior James Hanley (Pawtucket, R.I.) and junior Andy Stanton (Great Bend, Pa.). The Bobcats close out the season on Saturday at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass.
