Research Economist, World Bank and Associate Professor of Economics, Bates College (on Leave)

Welcome!

I am currently working as a Research Economist at the World Bank on leave from Bates College where I am an Associate Professor of Economics.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California Santa Cruz. Prior to my graduate studies in the US, I received my B.A. from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) and M.A. from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

My former professional experience includes being a senior consultant for the Inter American Development Bank, United Nations and World Bank. I was also an adjunt professor at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), visiting professor at Yonsei University (South Korea) and visiting assistant professor at Vassar College. I also spent some time at the IMF as a fellow researcher in the Asian Pacific Department and at Cabezon Capital Management in San Francisco as a research associate.

My primary fields of concentration are International Finance, Open Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics and Applied Econometrics.

Browse around to find links to papers, ongoing research, my C.V., teaching experience, and links. On my photos you can also find some pictures of me, my hometown, my friends, my family, and pics of some of my trips around the US.
