Amy Ongiri's work focuses on African-American literature and culture. Her current research project is a study of
the Black Arts movement of the 1960s and 70s including articulations of the Black Power ideology found in Black
Arts poetry, soul music, and Blaxploitation film. Her work appears in Camera Obscura, College Literature, and
Afrocentric Music and Cullture: The Semiannual Journal of Call and Response.
